Ultralight stages a visual and conceptual paradox. At its origin lies a direct photograph of the sun—source of clarity, warmth, and vision. Yet through digital transformation, that same sun dissolves into the blackness of a deep cosmic night.

What once gave light becomes one among many: a silent star adrift in a nebula of digital dust. The image explores the thin veil between presence and absence, brilliance and obscurity, immediacy and illusion.
In this work, light is both subject and material—celebrated, manipulated, and finally obscured. Ultralight is a meditation on contrast as condition of perception: we see because light meets shadow. We understand because opposites reveal each other.
The piece is also the eponymous work of a broader reseach devoted to the perception of light, marking the first chapter in an ongoing artistic exploration of its nature, presence, and meaning.
