Your Defeat is Only a Question of Time explores the experience of internal struggle. The work is based on a dream where I was attacked by a massive goose — a large, swan-like creature that felt both threatening and absurd. At one point, parasites began to emerge from its body and latch onto me, attacking on a deeper, more intangible level.

Despite the surreal horror of the dream, I felt unexpectedly calm. I knew I would defeat it — not through physical force, but with quiet certainty. That sense of inner strength came from years of therapeutic work, reflection, and learning to face fear without collapse.

Where I once doubted my ability to withstand emotional pain, I now trust my capacity to endure and transform it. This painting reflects that shift — not the absence of fear, but a new relationship with it. The title speaks to this defiant clarity: your defeat is only a question of time.
