Artwork title : Revealed

This photo is one of my fine art series of botanicals.  All images are taken in natural light, including this image of a fuzzy heliconia that was dramatically lit in the slanting morning light.  For this series I try to photograph plants and flowers in such a way that reveals details of great beauty that may not be obvious at first glance if you see the plant or flower in a garden.  I seek to engage the viewer to look closer, beyond the 'pretty' and be immersed in the true nature of the subject in an unforgetable way.
