Artwork title : L'envol - Lift off

L'envol (Lift-off) is my second metal sculpture, created through welding. It captures the dynamic moment of a bird in mid-flight. This piece embodies my deep desire for artistic and personal transcendence, symbolising the need to break free from a stifling situation in order to reclaim freedom and lightness.

When I created it, I wasn’t fully aware that this bird would become a reflection of my emotions — an inner need to break free from what held me back. The metal, rigid yet transformed into motion, materialises the tension between confinement and vital momentum. The work acts as a snapshot of my own evolution — a gradual awakening in which art revealed what words could not express.

Today, L'envol – Lift-off represents far more than a sculpture; it is a testament to resilience and rebirth. Thanks to a renewed sense of love and a supportive community that encourages me, I have found the courage to showcase my work. Taking part in your competition is part of this journey, not just as an opportunity to share my art, but also as a celebration of the mutual support and sincerity that connect us.

L'envol - Lift-off est ma deuxième sculpture métallique, réalisée par soudure, capturant l'instant dynamique d'un oiseau en plein vol. Cette œuvre incarne mon désir profond de dépassement, tant artistique que personnel, symbolisant la rupture nécessaire avec une situation étouffante pour retrouver liberté et légèreté.

En la créant, je n’avais pas encore pleinement conscience que cet oiseau devenait le miroir de mes émotions : une nécessité intérieure de m’arracher à ce qui m’alourdissait. Le métal, par sa rigidité transformée en mouvement, a matérialisé cette tension entre l’enfermement et l’élan vital. L’œuvre agit comme un screenshot de ma propre évolution — une prise de conscience progressive où l’art a révélé ce que les mots ne pouvaient dire.

Aujourd’hui, L'envol - Lift-off représente bien plus qu’une sculpture : c’est un témoignage de résilience et de renaissance. Grâce à un renouveau amoureux et à un entourage qui me pousse vers l’avant, j’ai osé donner une visibilité à mon travail.
