Photography is the medium that reflects reality the most objectively.

In my Abstract project I photograph details of everyday surfaces that have a visual balance in mind, or on the contrary, they show compositions that convey tensions. I intend to put these details - insignificant to many of us - in a new context, making them visible to everyone. 

 

These photos are extremely simplified and retouched in contrast to classic photographic subjects, questioning the boundaries between photography and other visual mediums. As the photographs are based on surfaces that erode over time, the role of photography is essential as a unique and unrepeatable reflection of reality, documenting the surface's current condition.
