AFTER THE FALL is a contemporary expressionist painting built around a dense, horizontal mass of black pigment suspended against a weathered, almost luminous ground. Aggressive brushwork, scraped surfaces, and vertical drips transform the central form into both an impact zone and a psychological threshold. The composition recalls the physical urgency of American Abstract Expressionism while adopting a stripped, post-industrial vocabulary: gesture becomes residue, and paint records the aftermath of an unnamed event.
