Pastel Beach: Windows into a Fantastical World
Her series Pastel Beach stands out through an explosion of pastel colors and a painterly aesthetic inspired by Wes Anderson’s distinctive palette. A true antidote to gloom, it celebrates joy and lightness.

Low-angle shots and a minimalist, meticulous composition create windows into a dreamlike world where the line between reality and fantasy dissolves. In this vision, the observer shifts perspective and, through these “windows,” perceives the human interaction with the environment in a new way, as if standing outside the scene. This distance allows us to contemplate the marvelous beauty of what surrounds us.

Although at first glance the characters or settings may seem artificial—almost digitally altered—the truth is quite the opposite. In reality, Paloma waits patiently for the image to take on the look of a canvas or a meticulously staged scene. Yet nothing is staged.
