Parfum is an art installation that uses construction levels filled with real perfume instead of water to explore dehumanization in the age of automation, evoking both sensory and conceptual dimensions. Arranged like perfume bottles on a wooden base, the levels—which normally measure balance with technical precision—transform into symbols of the tension between the controlled and the uncontrolled, capturing an ephemeral scent that plays with memory and perception. A fallen tube disrupts the orderly arrangement, suggesting a fracture in the system and questioning the illusion of balance imposed by contemporary technocracy. This intervention underscores the irony of containing the elusive within rigid measurement parameters and challenges the reduction of human experience to rigid metrics.
